As you may know, biblical ignorance is an epidemic in the United States. A recent study quoted by Dr. Peter Gomes in The Good Book found that 38 percent of Americans polled were certain the Old Testament was written a few years after Jesus' death. Ten percent believed Joan of Arc was Noah's wife. Many even thought the epistles were the wives of the apostles.

This same kind of biblical ignorance is all too present around the topic of homosexuality. Often people who love and trust God's Word have never given careful and prayerful attention to what the Bible does or doesn't say about homosexuality.

For example, many Christians don't know that:

Jesus says nothing about same-sex behavior.
The Jewish prophets are silent about homosexuality.
Only six or seven of the Bible's one million verses refer to same-sex behavior in any way -- and none of these verses refer to homosexual orientation as it's understood today.
Most people who are certain they know what the Bible says about homosexuality don't know where the verses that reference same-sex behavior can be found. They haven't read them, let alone studied them carefully. They don't know the original meaning of the words in Hebrew or Greek. And they haven't tried to understand the historical context in which those words were written. Yet the assumption that the Bible condemns homosexuality is passed down from generation to generation with very little personal study or research. The consequences of this misinformation are disastrous, not only for God's gay and lesbian children, but for the entire church.

Ok heres the thing about homosexuality. The catholic church feels that you cant help who you like and dislike. Its like trying to get a strait man to love another man in a sexual mannor for a homosexual man to love a woman. The thing is that marrige is between a man and a women and because catholics belive in chastity untill marryed that meens that Gays can never have sexuall relations. Its a sin when homosexual couples have sexual relations and that does have an effect if you get into heaven or not and in heaven we dont have bodys were just souls/spirits. And i think you ment posT- mordem

Not unless they confess that they are sinners in need of salvation and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior just like anyone else who wants to go to heaven. They must be willing to give up their gay lifestyle. Read Romans chapter 1 in The Holy Bible. There they are called reprobate which means they are rejected by God and do not have a home in heaven.

God describes homosexuality as a sin punishable by death, but Jesus came to forgive all sins. If you accept Jesus, it doesn't make you not a sinner, it makes you forgiven. A forgiven sinner will do his best to obey the commandments of God. Remember, a forgiven sinner is still a sinner and will fall short somehow.Yes, even a repentant homosexual might fall, just as a repentant adulterer might fall and both can give into their lusts. The difference is...If you truly accept Christ you will not be seeking a lifestyle displeasing to the Lord, and even if you fall back into it, you will go to Heaven. If you accept Christ and continue living that lifestyle, then you didn't truly accept Him and no Heaven.

I believe that there will be ex-homosexuals and ex-lesbians in Heaven. Many people will turn their lives over to Jesus and God and become saved and forgiven of their sins here on earth.

There will be no need to have sex in Heaven. No one will have the earthly desires in Heaven. Everyone will be perfect and will be at peace with themselves, with each other, and with God.

Nobody knows what Heaven will be like, except to say that we will be united with the Father. And God is the only one who knows who will be in Heaven. Our speculations about who will be there are idle. We know nothing when it comes to this.

We should stop worrying about whether this person or that person, or this type of person or that type of person, will be in Heaven. We should worry about working out our own salvation. Period.

What ever you believe is fine with me. Some fanatical Christians will say, however, that sex for pro-creation does not exist in their heaven. Just sex the way it is meant to be. For pleasure! Probably the only thing that make any sense in that dogma!

1 Corinthinans 9-11
Do you not know the the wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of god? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders. Nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But then you wee washed, you were sanctified , you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Well, I can say with certainty, that there will be no practicing homosexuals in heaven.

Lets say that your weakness (sin) is homosexuality. Anothers is Lust for women other than his wife.

If both of these people never act upon that weakness, and of course they have accepted Jesus as their personal savior, they would both be in Heaven.

Lets say that both of these people had acted on their weaknesses once, and were wracked with guilt and asked forgiveness and turned from that weakness. They would also both be in heaven.

Now, lets say that both of these people had acted on their weaknessess, and used human justification that GOD made them this way, so he must love them just the way they are, so continued to let this weakness control them, instead of controling the weakness. Both these people have just committed the breaking of a basic commandment, "thou shall have no other GOD before me. THe weakness is now controling them, and it is all they care about. Now Hell comes into the picture, for if you are truely saved, you put GOD and his commands first, and your self weaknessess get easier to control.
