It doesnt offend me
MERRY CHRISTMAS
those that are offended are just jealous that they dont have the single most biggest holiday.
Personally I love Christmas and have been looking forward to it since January. Only 5 months 10 days to go. We can put trees up in about 4 though hoorahh
once again MERRY CHRISTMAS

It does not offend me but, it gets me annoyed. You see I'm Jewish and when strangers like at a shopping mall wish me a Merry Christmas. It really bothers me because I do not celebrate Christmas. I would prefer someone saying Happy hoildays instead of Merry Christmas it is just a better approach in my opinion.

You know, I'm an atheist from a Christian background, my boyfriend is an agnostic from a Jewish background. NEITHER of us get offended when people say "Merry Christmas!" to us. We're intelligent and friendly enough to understand that what is really important is the sentiment behind the statement, not the statement itself. We usually say "Merry Christmas!" right back!

Anyone who offends at such a thing is being overly sensitive. I think the whole merry christmas is ridiculous on so many levels but I would never be offended at hearing it.

Merry Christmas is a happy desire of a new life, of peace and joy. Those who are not Christians, can understand that they have also their own celebrations. So I think that we can respect each others religions, and believing.

The question should not be does it really offend someone because if it did not it wouldn't be the issue. The issue is actually, is that dam hard to say happy holidays??? Thats a better question for you.

Sadly, yes. But don't let that stop you; it's not your fault if they take offense at something so trivial as "Merry Christmas."
