Yes, by cutting your portions. Also, eat a LOT of vegetables (low calories and carbs). When you fill up on veggies, you'll have less room for the starches and meats.

Also, drink lots of water. Make it you primary drink.

Exercise is always best. Not hours in the gym, but 30 minutes a day at least 4 days a week (3 days to maintain your weight).

Plus, when you exercise, your body will crave healthy foods to give it what it needs.

Sure, I've lost 5kg in a month by just eating right ( its all about the calorie intake). To be quiet honest don't exercise and i really could have lost a lot more weight exercising plus it tones the body. I also don't have time for gym (which is just an excuse really), so my form of exercise comes from: Parking a little further from my office or mall entrances. (So that's a morning and afternoon walk) Walking to the convenient store instead of driving there Using stairs instead of elevators Taking walks around the office park at lunch. Even if it's 15 mins. Small stuff like that burns calories.

It depends on what you consider exercise. There is a need to use more calories than you take in. The only complication factor is that if you significantly reduce your caloric intake(eat a lot less) then your metabolism shuts down and you use less calories. Walking or other mild aerobic activity keeps your metabolism level up. I am not talking walking across the room, nor am I talking walking across the county. A mile or two a day(20 to 40 blocks) should be sufficient.

Yes, but you have to eat smaller portions as well. You can't just eat healthy food at large quantities and expect to be thin.
