Sure..you welcome to come...I just have to find the raw tuna. And I hope your good with the bamboo mat..I'm new to this experience.

Your best bet is to buy a slab of tuna and slice it yourself with a very sharp knife. Make sure the tuna is fresh (use your nose....no fishy smell), and if you can get it fresh (never frozen), all the better. The meat from the upper half of the fish is firmer and contains less fat. The meat from the lower half has a higher fat content, so it's softer and more flavorful.

First answer is not correct. You need to find suchi grade tuna, not just what they have at Kroger or Publix for cooking.

I would suggest Harry's Farmers Market (in Atlanta) or something like it in your area where they have international ingredients and 'weird' food. You also might want to ask your sushi restaurant where they buy theirs.

Good idea, though. I enjoy making my own - as much wasabi as I can handle every time!

I do not know where you can find that, but can I come over? I love sushi, its my favorite thing to eat. yummy.
