An A+ will bring up your weighted GPA. This weighted GPA's can go farther than regular GPAs. You can get above a 4.0 weighted if you take honors courses, AP classes, and get A+s.
They will only go down as an A on your unweighted GPA. However, the more of them you get, the higher the number will go. You should always shoot for the best you can do, because it will profit you the most.

No more than an A.
Grade policies differ per school. Some schools have a 5-point weighted system, meaning that harder classes are given one extra grade point. For example, a B in a weighted class would be a 4.00. An A would be a 5.00. The standard, and most common method, is unweighted grades, however. Usually, it goes like this:
A ... 4.00
B ... 3.00
C ... 2.00
D ... 1.00
F ... 0.00
In this case, pluses and minuses are irrelevant.
Some schools, however, will make a plus worth slightly more and a minus slightly less. The exception, however, is with A and F. There aren't F+ grades awarded. In addition, an A+ is worth the same as an A. Under this system, however, an A- might be worth between 3.00 and 4.00, much like a B+.
So... to answer the question, yes and no.
The 4.00 from the A+ grades would bring up your average to counteract for the B grades, but would not make up for them any more than a regular A would.

an A is an A. the -, and the + just tell you if you have a low A or a high A. A's are worth 4 points, B's are worth 3 points, C's are worth 2 points, D's are worth 1 point, and an F is 0 points. So the A+ will not bring up your B, but if you get A's and B's, your gpa shouldn't be that bad. Well, at least the schools i went to it was like this, maybe your school does the gpa different.

Only to an A. If you GPA was 3.4 with the Bs and you get A+'s, the highest your GPA will go up is around 3.55 until you get more A+'s during the school year.

It depends on the school you go to. For us, If we have an A in an AP class, it is weighted differently than a normal class... but an A is still an A. I know in some other schools, an A- is different than A+... so you should ask your counselors
