I think of suicide on a daily basis. I cut my arms. I make myself throw up. I don't care about important things anymore. I am really stuck in a rut.

Before I say anything else, let me tell you that you are unique and special! It seems that at this point, you no longer believe this. I strongly encourage you to speak to someone about this, someone that you know and trust. If you have trouble getting your mind off of these thoughts, plan a time and place to hang out with friends, family, etc., anything to keep your mind off of things. Anytime you feel your mind wandering to these ideas, tell yourself that you are valuable, speak it out loud to yourself if necessary. Try to fill your mind with positive thoughts, turn on a good movie, put on a motivational tape, etc. I want you to know that Jesus loves you no matter how you feel, and it hurts Him to see you suffering, just as much as it hurts you. If you ever feel that you are alone in your suffering, remember that Jesus suffered pain past the point of human comprehension. All of the loss He suffered would have killed any normal human being. So believe me, He knows your pain. Tell Him about it! Keep the lines of communication open at all times! I can guarantee that He can help you! I encourage you to visit this site:

I strongly believe that it will help you out. God bless and remember, Jesus loves you no matter what!

You sound like you're at least starting to make a turnaround... good job on that. I was in your situation about six months ago, and with the help of a counselor and some anti-depressants, I've gotten a lot better. I'd suggest that you do the same. Just remember that even though it seems like things don't matter and aren't worth it, they are. People care about you and want you to do well. Best wishes... I hope you can get good care.

I did the same thing when I was younger I cut my arms and burned them with ciggerettes because I was trying to bring the pain I felt inside out. And I puked to try to fit a stereo type. All I ended up with was a stay in Ridgeview, scars I still have to this day all over my arms, and a troublesome pregnancy because I was to thin. If you would like e-mail me at chemicalclover@yahoo.com. It sounds like what you really need is a friend.

That's a lot bigger than a rut, Katie. All of the things you are doing are dangerous, and you need to see a doctor. If you don't have one, go to the emergency room, where they can stabilize you, and get you set up with a clinic. Don't waste time getting there - you are worth it!

Then, Honey, you do have a very real problem. Talk with a friend. And talk with someone who can help you with these things. There are hotlines in the phone books that you can call.

Don't try to take this beast on alone, Katie. You don't have to.

Good luck.

You need to see a therapist, ASAP. You are full of pent up anger and you need help to figure out why and how to handle it. It will only get worse if you don't see a professional.
