It depends. Christ taught that within a certain boundary of commands like "do not murder" and "do not lie", there is a lot of freedom. There is the freedom to wear a cross or build a church-there are no commands against those things. However, he also taught that one of the greatest sins is the sin of hypocrisy. This was the main argument that he had with the Pharisees. They said one thing and did another. So you have to ask *what is the motive behind this action?" Are people building big churches so they can be famous, yet loudly proclaiming they are helping the poor? Are you wearing a cross so that you can say non-verbally that you are a christian, yet you don't act like one? The real answer lies in the state of a person's heart attitude, and only that person and God knows that information. So the ultimate answer to this question is: it depends.

some churches are big because of the size of the congregation now the gold crosses is something else.I attend a big church but my pastor does not wear a big gold cross the thing that bothers me is when they brag on the cars and the houses and the helicopters and show off all the jewel that is where the problem comes in at.

We have a couple massive churches in my town and it really seems like the money they spent on the buildings could've gone to things like charity work or mission work,...it seems like they're just showing off what "great Christians" they are by having such a big church. I understand some congregations get big, but you can easily share the Word with everyone by having multiple services.

Not that, it's just not economical. But it's only your money that you put in the basket, why care what happens to it?

that pertains to building large churches; you can wear whatever you want.

In the bible, jeebus curses people who do such things.

Sadly, there are hypochristians everywhere. Just look at the US$300million cathedral the catholics built in Los Angeles.

ITS DISGUSTING TO BUILD HUGE CHURCHES
THEY MIGHT AS WELL PUT NEON SIGNS OUTSIDE

"LIVE PREACHER INSIDE"

"SINNERS NIGHT 2 FOR 1"

"FIRE AND BRIMSTONE BAND TONIGHT"

the brothers are ok to wear the bling bling crosses but not anyone else. it looks stupid on white folks!
