No they will get a bloody nose, like they did in Vietnam but worse, if the Persians can beat the Romans then what does that tell you? This time all the islamic states will unite and come against them. and Russia and China will support them, as they as well as a lot of other countries are sick and tired of the USA sticking their nose into other countries business which has nothing to do with them. They have earned their cumupence.Were talking about world war III here! We will go into a global depression until about 2010-12, due to the usual American greed and ignorance of their own ignorance. Didn't you know the USA was thrown out of Saudi last thursday! Furthermore the States is bancrupt 3 times over and the dollar isnt worth the paper it's printed on. Why do you think they stopped trading oil in Dollars and moved into Euros???? Doesn't that tell you something about middle easten strategy?

Plus America also has a lot of consciencious bush/policy objectors so would find it very difficult to recruit any military.

I cannot predict the future and tell you who will win. But I will tell you this, there is a war right now between Israel and the Hezzbollah. And would you like to know who is winning, no one. The civilians are the ones suffering. Why should innocents die? Let alone women and children? Especially children!?! I wish there could be peace. I pray for world peace every night as stupid as this may sound. I pray for the women and children that are dying as they are being shelled as they flee for cover. This has got to stop it will stop when all civilians are dead and the earth is radioactive.

well first off, the chinese and russians hate the muslims with a passion. The beslan school massacre was muslims.

Also, india hates muslims, because of packistan, and the United States is very good allies with india because Bush want to be the first ruler in history to make a true friendship between two superpowers. We actually train with indian fighter pilots once a year in order to make sure we are on the same page.

Then add in the africans. the southern half of africa hates the north for the genacide of the 90's. the muslims are not welcome, and south africa has an overpowering military compared to other african nations.

So in the end, it would be 1300 million chinese, 200 million russians, 280 million americans, 1100 million indians, and 500 million africans, VS 1000 million arabs.

That would be 3.1 billion people VS the muslims. Im placing my bets against them, seeing that they have no nuclear weapons and we have 30,000 between us all. And the arabs have no native weapons building capacity.

Bucky, ever hear of the third man in a fight rule? It does like this, I don't like my Righty friends, but I will tell you we have more in common then either of us will admit. Should anyone else come after either of us, I will still think my Righty brother is a flaming idiot, but I will be damned if I am going to let you, or someone else taking him down. Our only (repeat only) weakness is our dependency on foreign oil, and specifically fossil oil, that is going to be a weakness in the rising global conflict. Yes, we are cruising towards WW III. It is only a matter of time until it erupts. However, Bucky, let me tell you this. In a global pissing match, we will have Japan, the whole of the Commonwealth, India, the ex-eastern block nations on our side. It is not the world against the US by any stretch of the imagination. The US will be injured, but we will survive. Once we get past this, we will thrive again. It is not going to be another 20 year war.

Yeah, the persians did a real good job on the Iraqi army 20 years ago. They fought for 8 years to a standstill, losing hundreds of thousands of the flower of their youth to a ridiculous, pointless war.

Uhhh...the USA went through the Iraqi republican guard like milk of magnesia through a widow woman. In other word, within 2 weeks, they were decimated.
