Fact, it's based on either heredity or environment. many people never develop a libido, it's more common than you think.

....believe it or not all of us may have been originally asexual meaning that we could turn into either sex according to need.....

some species have this...it is not clear if this has been part of the human evolvement...however... there have been several "birth defects" where a baby has both sexes. .... so is this a defect and a possible link to the past.....

....most asexual persons tend toward one sex or the other....unfortunately this is usually decided by parents who may have wanted a "Boy" instead of a "Girl".

...As far as solving the problem, genetics cannot be eliminated....

I believe it has to do with hormonal balances in different people and at different times in their lives. That is, if it's not mainly a mental condition interfering with sexual interest. One might have to look at the various drugs being marketed today claiming to stimulate sexual activity. Of course, to want to use them requires a desire towards sexual activity. I believe there are people who simply do not have sexual interests. They would be considered asexual. Don't confuse this with lack of gender or transgendered. It's doesn't mean is person is no longer male or female, or is now gay. It strictly has to do with levels of sexual attraction towards others.
