Well I hate to sound like a mother... oh yeah I am.... but at the wonderful age of 13, yes age does matter. And a 17 yr old should not be interested in a 13. But 13 yr olds are interested in the older "man". You are at a wonderful age and many good and strange things will be coming your way. Enjoy being 13. There are undoubtedly many 13 yr old or 14 yr old boys out there looking your way. Don't rush into being with the older boys.

depends, how old are you guys? i mean if ur 13 and he's 94 there's a chance it might not work. no really, i mean if ur over 29 it doesnt matter at ALL, but if your a teenage, and say, like 17, a guy who's 20 is too old. if ur a teen u cant date a person who's not a teen, unless ur 19 and he's 20. and i noticed i answered ur question extremely fast, for i am a the yahoo answers superman =D

Yes and no. Age is just a number and does not matter between tow people. However, what does matter is mind sets. Typically a younger person is simply looking for a good time and like to go 'out', a middle aged person is looking to settle down and raise kids and an older person has done and raised their kids and just wants to stay home.. It can work if both people are on the same page, no matter the age.

The age problem typically comes in, for example, with a teen and a 20 something...the 20 something wants a house, baby and white picket fence...the teen wants a good time.

People at different ages are at different points in their lives. Though this is all in general. There are older folks who want to just have fun and teen who want kids, for example.

You are quite young to be having a 17 year old boyfriend. He may have a different interest than you do and then again maybe not. It's up to the two of you in the end.

Age DOES count when he is 17 and you are just 13. You are just a goofy little girl overwhelmed and excited that a "cool" 17 year-old has noticed you. He can go to jail if he "tries anything" with you.

It matters in terms of planning. If this is someone you're going to marry then you will be taking care of him if there is a significant age difference. Health and end-of-life-issues need to be taken into consideration.

No age doesn't matter. You both are minors. When he turns 18 he's considered an adult so in some states if an adult dates a minor it's automatically derogatory rape.
