legally you are considered an adult when you turn 18, in the united states of course. other countries are different, and it normally depends on your maturity, wether you are considered an adult in the eyes of others.

in a way, you can make yourself an adult, depending on the actions you take. if you study hard and get your masters at 21, you could consider yourself an adult, and no one would question it. if you drank all night at parties unitil your 30s, then you wouldn't be mature enough to handle the responsibilities of an adult, and would not be treated as such.

so all-in-all, the decision is up to you, when you decide to become an adult, altough like i said, the law considers you one at 18.

In GA it's 17. But, there are crazy stipulations for this. I had about 15 different 'government' people tell me the same thing. OK, 17 is 'legal' age. But, the parent is STILL responsible for the child until he's 18. So this means, if he wants to leave your house, you can't stop him. But if he wants to come back , you also can't stop him. Since the parent is still responsible for the 17 yr old child, the parent HAS to let the child come back home if he wants to. How stupid is this????
