I am 17 and not in school, and have just moved to a new town. I want to get a job to meet new people. I was figuring working at a fastfood restaurant(Burger King,McDonalds,Wendy's etc) to meet people around my age. My question is if anyone here around age 17-22 has met friends working at a fast food restaurant. I have certain "interests" that I think I will find I have in common with the typical fast food worker. Thank you :)
P.S. I AM NOT GOING BACK TO SCHOOL, SO BEFORE YOU GUYS GET OFF ON THAT DON'T. UNLESS YOU HAVE A DIRECT RESPONSE TO THE QUESTION ASKED DO NOT ANSWER.

Yeah, I think it's possible to meet friends at a fast food restaurant. I was friends with a few people when I worked at a fast-food place. But we only talked at work. Never really hung out anywhere.
One question for you. Do you have a car or will you be taking a bus to work? If you don't have a car, it's going to be really hard to get anywhere when you want to hang out. (Unless you live in a really small town where everything is really close). So if you live in a big town, not having a car might kill your social life. Of course, you could also get lucky and have friends who are always willing to give you a ride.

Hi, and I admit I'm just a guy.
I worked at Burger King in highschool.
You don't meet a lot of people, working at the french fry station..
You'd be better off Waitressing, at a real restaurant, if you want to be able to meet people.

Exactly what kind of "interests" do you have in common with a typical fast food worker? You're interested in working for minimum wage in a thankless job that leaves you smelling like grease every day? Well...if that's your goal in life, at least you're making it a realistic one.
I'm sure you'll make plenty of friends, not to worry...

get the job at fast food and work for minimum wage, meet mr wrong and whatever you do practice safe sex. in a year or two when you are ready to get out of the dead end job, sick of mr wrong and if you have diligently practiced safe sex you may wish to entertain the idea of school

Well yes. there are chances of u meeting new ppl of ur age. You can also try joining the local club or society in ur neighbourhood...
