I agree with the other Lab owners here. I have a three year old yellow Lab and she is starting to get chubby. I had been feeding her probably three to three and a half cups (I use a coffee mug) of food per day. Now I only feed her one cup in the morning and one cup in the evening. By the way, she's between 60 and 70 pounds and is from the English variety of Labradors (smaller stockier).

An adult lab tends to get fat very easily. They usually only need a cup in the morning and a cup at night.
I have always thought that IAMS and Eukanuba were overpriced for the quality of the ingredients! Low residue foods can sometimes cause intestinal problems - it's natural and healthy for the undigested materials to move out of the dog's system.
Look for a food that does NOT have "by products" in the ingredients list or you'll be paying a lot of money for garbage. Personally, I like Nutro - it has no by products and is reasonably priced and my dogs have done fine on it for more than 10 years. They make canned and dry dog foods for puppies and adults. Any changes in diet should be made slowly to avoid diarrhea - gradually mix more new food in with what you've been using until he's switched over.

It depends on what you are feeding, on how big your lab is (they can vary quite a bit), whether you have a dog or a *****, how much exercise it gets, etc etc. Too many variables to give any definitive answer. In general, I would be feeding one main meal of about 1.5 cups of a good quality dry food per day, with a small helping (about one third of the evening amount) for "breakfast" if it is a very active dog. Be wary of adhering to the "recommended" amounts on the bag - don't forget that dog food manufacturers have a vested interest in dogs being overfed and labs are well known to be especially greedy and prone to obesity.

1-2 cups of food per day. Every dog is different. Ask a vet, as they will be advising you how to feed the dog anyway. Or, ask the people at the Humane Society how much they're feeding the individual dog before you adopt.

At 2 he or she will be basically full grown, begin with at least 2 cups per day. Depending how active you keep the dog, you may need more or less. An 18kg bag would last a little over a month.

If you leave a dish of dry food out all day he will eat as much as he wants when he wants.

A lot. It'd continue to eat until its stomach explodes.
