I like that version, the only thing I don't like is that he only goes through one chapter at a time. Usually I listen to the Bible when I'm lying down and my eyes are tired at the end of the day. So I don't want to have to keep getting up to go to the next chapter. That's why I've downloaded the entire KJV and NIV from a link on my Free Stuff page from my site @ http://web.express56.com/~bromar/

The speakers are not quite as gifted as Max is, but they do a good enough job.

I have the KJV dramatized version by Alexander Scourby. We love it. The change in voices helps you keep track of the flow of thought and conversation.

Some of the voices are kind of weird, but for the most part it's great. (My husband pointed out that some of the men sound, well, not so bright and a little whiny, but all the women sound intelligent and well mannered.) ;o)

I don't listen to audio tapes except for music. I find I can't concentrate on the spoken word very well. I tend to be very visual and find that reading satisfies that need very well.

Yes, it is lovely to just sit and listen to the Word of God. Reading is a wonderful gift tho, and I do enjoy reading it as well.

Yes, I actually have three, one with Alexandar Scourby. Very good and good to use to learn the pronunciation of some of the words.

It tends to take on by expression. the feelings of the narrator.. Since I already had drawn my conclusions and thoughts . I did not care for it. but after considering that ,it is great for the non reader.
