I suspect so. That's what I believe, but the bible is not that bad of a story, everyone got laid, and everyone has seemly been paid / or has paid in one way or the other. Oh yeah, interpretation, interpretation, interpretation.

ummm I do not know but I do not see how. I mean I went the religious thing not taking things seriously and I found it like many a hard road to handle it wasn't until I accepted God in my heart that anything made sense. now when I read the Bible I am directed and can understand it. those things I didn't really see that should be wrong now I know they are and why and no longer desire them. I know a lot of people do not really fully believe in God and that's sad. because you can not feel the power unless you have accepted him. There is more to this then tossing a few coins in a plate on Sundays or singing a song. many miss out because they just don't fully accept God. If you think going to church and reading the Bible alone will be enough then chances are the temptation of life will drag you down and make you an unbeliever. Once you Take God into your heart then you do not have the power of good alone you have the hand of God to help. I have no doubt God is inside me and since I have made this move my life has become so easy and the only sorrow I have is for those who are lost or in denial.

Religion is all about what you believe. If you think that God would love you and bring you into Heaven even though you don't go to church or read the Bible, then you will. It's all about what you think.

Believing in God seems it would go hand in hand with believing the Bible. If your question is really is it important to read the Bible not believe the Bible. Both are important. It is important to go to Church. It is in the Bible. Communion is only offered at church. Communion is Christs' body and blood and it is required to go to heaven. In the long run, only God knows what is in your heart.

How can you believe in God and not believe the Bible which is what God wrote through humans, who were 'moved by the Holy Spirit'. Going to church doesnt make you go to heaven but it tells you more about God and keeps you focused.

I absolutely think so. If you have a relationship with God and pray, and live a life of good. I think you can go to heaven. Just because you don't go to church doesn't mean a thing. Mainly church is a social element for people who go to learn more about the Bible.

How are you going to know God if not for the bible? It is the bible that tells about Him. We are the church, not the building that we call church. WE are commanded that we should congregate with fellow believers as possible. For those that did not have a bible and never knew about God and never had a church to go to or knew anything about it, as long as they lived up to everything they knew to be true, why not?

No. Christians, Muslims, and Jews all believe in God, but all different Gods (kind of...). They contradict on different matters, so you know only one of the God's can be the real God. Also, Satan and the demons believe in God, but they aren't saved. You have to believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and that is the only way to get into heaven.
Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.". So that is how you get into heaven.
What if Jesus was just making this up? Well he wasn't, as he proved with miracles, a sinless life, and his own reseruction. For more on this, check out the book, "I don't have enough faith to be an athiest".

If all you believe in is "god" and not God, then there is no heaven for you. god is a common noun, indicating that this thing you call "god" is just a "run of the mill" item that has no specialness. God, on the other hand, is THE ONE AND ONLY, and ONLY HE has a HEAVEN to go to. So, it's your choice, "god" or God. God Bless you.

The way to heaven is through Jesus Christ and accepting him as your Lord and Savior. You don't have to go to church but..... when you accept Jesus you will have the desire to read your bible and it says do not forsake the assembling of believers. So,,,I believe you will want to go to church and be with other believers.
