having headaches, tension especially at work staring at computer. eyes have worsened 13 degrees in two years

I'm not sure what you mean by measured 16 but I'm going to guess the alightment - or that they measured 16 prism diopters eso or exophoric. Since you say it worsened in two years - are you around the age of 40? If you were already exophoric (eyes tend to turn out) you could have been using your accommodation to help turn your eyes in when you are doing near work. Around the age of 40 the amount of accommodation decreases (causing the need for reading glasses) which would cause your exophoric position to be worse since you no longer have the accommodation to help pull your eyes in. This straining can lead to headaches.
If your doctor cannot help you go see another optometrist and describe your symptoms...good luck!
