I recommend anything that puts you in touch with the children, so:

Board games, card games, house cleaning fun, bedroom cleaning fun, a puppet show, dress up, an activity with construction paper/scissors/glue and lots of imagination, baking fun (cookies, cakes, candies, fudge, brownies, cupcakes, pudding, jello), learning fun (science with ice or volcanos or the like), word games such as 20 questions or who can name an animal/place/geographic location, etc that starts with an 'A', then a 'B' and so on, coloring, finger painting, regular painting, play-doh, paper mache, learning how to grow plants, building with legos or tinker toys or the like, reading time, montages with pics in old magazines, movie appreciation time (where you are the one who picks the movies and as you watch them, you explain them to the child, so this is typically a history based or science based type of movie), hot wheels car racing, play house or tea party, charades, school prep for later in the year but in a fun way (like flash cards or the like), um, ok, I'm out of ideas for now. But you get the idea. :)

Hope this helps.

I know what you are saying.. My kids have spend all summer inside. They play some PlayStation in the morning, at noon they go do chores.. Then they play with their dolls, they have even learn how to use a needle and made some clothes for them, (To change outfits they end up ripping what they did) They draw, read books and play board games... Since they do not get enough exercise we go to the water park or pool at least 2 times a week and stay almost the whole day. I take them regularly to the movies.. And started going shopping for school.(AC)... They have become really good at Hide and seek.. My oldest is even trying to write poems, They braid each others hair, do their nails and take it off countless of times. My boy does tournaments with his Bay-blades and race their cars in the hallway.

It is a new challenge everyday, but find some of those toys they haven't touch in a while and you make a game with them, so they get interested in them again.. Good Luck

"The Iceman Cometh"

Go get a large bag of ice. Get a stopwatch. Let 'x' be the number of kids you have. Get 'x +1' plastic tubs that you can fit feet in. Fill the tubs 1/2 full of water. Fill the rest of the way with ice.

Have you and your kids take off your shoes and socks.

On "1 ...2 ... 3 ... Go!", everybody puts their feet in the icewater. He who keeps their feet in the longest wins. Play a tournament of like 25 games. Vary the games: feet in water, no talking; feet in water, counting down from 100; feet in water, the days in a certain month (you call out the month). Generally, feet in water, do something else. Keep track of who has the best time, and the best individual time for each one of your kids. Remember to refresh with ice to keep the water cold. The winner of the most games gets a bonus ice cream (you end up taking everyone for icecream).

This will 1)cool the kids down while playing a game and 2)teach them self-control -- a long forgotten virtue not taught in today's society.

A game from my Grandfather ...

Best to you...

Make some white playdough and build snowmen.

Here's an easy recipe.

PLAYDOUGH

1 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar (DO NOT OMIT)
1 c. water
1 tbsp. cooking oil

Mix ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until it forms into a ball, stirring constantly. Food coloring may be added. Knead slightly on waxed paper. Let cool.
This playdough will not stick to carpet or clothes.

Finger painting, get an early start on the return to school -- give them some learning books with coloring pages and math problems. It depends on their age. I don't know about your kids but the kids in my family tend to have a lot of toys in which they don't play with. I'd say pull out those toys and let them go wild...lol for a little while.

You may not want to take my advice about the toys if you are just the sitter, since I have no kids of my own. :)

I like to play Hide & Go Sleep with my kids. I count to 10, they hide, & I take a nap.

Sleep Frog is also a hoot. Throw some big (preferably green) pillows on the floor. That's the "lilypad." The "frog" (that's really a kid) who sleeps on the lilypad the longest is the winner (and will also probably be remembered in daddy's will). If you only have one kid, Daddy can be the other frog but he has to sleep on a log (couches make great logs).

Lake of fire? interior the mythological place of fire of the classic Egyptians, the souls won flora and bread, the two necessities of a soft actual existence on the previous Nile. This seems to point that initially the fire replace into no longer meant as punishment yet as a place of purification. comparable we discover from India, the purifying altar of fire, symbolizing our existence potential, Kundalini. This potential could be felt going up the backbone as Shakti. it is felt like fire, whilst aroused too quickly. The physique could desire to be purified first to be waiting to hold such intense potential. it style of feels to me that the punishment with the aid of fire replace into particularly a later Christian invention, i'm not sure. in spite of the shown fact that, i think that what we are looking forward to to ensue after loss of life will ensue. If we've faith that we take a seat interior the lake of fire, we are able to. If we've faith in goodness and do sturdy right here in the international, i think that we are going to journey goodness. this question could have been meant as a humorous tale, yet I heard approximately people who're afraid to circulate to hell. i think of that doing sturdy - the final we are able to do - is the final risk-free practices to journey sturdy and God after loss of life. Be arranged although which you will no longer see the lake of fire. God bless you. Cordially, India.Magica
