Sometimes the kittens will take on the personality of the father. If the father is an outside Tom and wild, there is not to much you can do. I have three cats that I rescued, same litter, and I cannot touch two of them at all, even though I have had them from about 4 weeks old. They will sleep on the bed, but if I move or look at them, off they go. You got several good answers, holding, petting, and putting them near your heart, but they may never come around. If you are going to keep them, get them spayed or neutered and try not to be hurt when they won't show as much affection as the others. If you are not going to keep them be sure and tell whoever takes them about their personalities. I also agree that there are so many unwanted animals and to please spay the mother and to spay/neuter all of the kittens.

They will develop with time. Make sure they have plenty of fresh food and water and get their first set of shots soon. You can win their friendship by involving them with games you play with all the cats. It doesn't have to involve anything expensive. A crumpled up piece of paper (waxy paper like in magazines lasts longer) will do just fine. Make sure each kitty who wants to play gets a piece. The ones that are not socializing yet may be younger than the others.

Cat nip is good for settling a kitten if they like it. Treat the kitten like a baby when you hold it. Pet and relax it. But you have to find a position the kitty is comfortable with. Usually not belly up they feel vulnerable. Good Luck:-)

Lighten up N2JESUS!!!!! My advice is to leave them be and let them come to you when they want. Cat are kookie little critters. When my cat had kittens back in Feb. I handled them from the moment they were born and luckily all 3 of mine are really sweet and come when called. All cats have different personalitites just like people. too. Good luck and have fun with them.

They all act differently and mature differently. My cat had a few litters and never once were all the kittens calm. It is just how they are. I am not sure there is anything you can do about it other than if they seem to be annoyed to just leave them be and see how they are.

First of all with all the starving and homeless animals already on the streets, I'd like to personally thank you for adding to the problem! Idiot! Secondly, they are KITTENS and just 3 months old. GEEZ! You are impatient and an idiot.

I don't think it matters what their gender is, it's just that some are ornerier than others..those are the cutest types! haha maybe you could buy them some little toys though and that will tire them out some, other than that I'm not sure - but good luck!

thats how they are when they are kittens, try holding them a LOT, i mean like all the time, even if they dont like it, when they are mature, (adults) u wont be able to hold them because they will be bigger, stronger, and more harmfull, then they wont be fun at all, try playing with them, and feed them treats, that way they will start to like you, and trust you, they will also rely on you.
