If you were running screaming help- the correct thing for anyone to do is call the police. but since most people only care about their personal belongings, you would have a better chance of screaming FIRE!! I learned that from a self defense coach for women. I would definitly have someone come with me and offer you a blanket, but I couldnt do it by myself. If you scream fire, someone will call the police and youwill be saved from running naked down my street, or in any matter, any street at all! :0)

Firstly assess the situation, specifically, what it is you are running from. (I would need to know if I could help, or if I ought to strip and start running myself!) Second, figure out if I could help and do so if I could. I like to believe I have been given the courage to change the things I can.

run outside with a blanket, try and decipher what the problem is, help all I can, call 911 or take you where you needed to go.

911 is five minutes away from me at best. I'd step out with a blanket for you, and a loaded shotgun for who/whatever it was that was chasing you down.

I don't know you...and you might be a crazy man that escaped from a mental place, so i would call the police first and let them handle it.

I'd call the police. I would be hesitant to offer assistance since you don't live in my neighborhood.
