Apparently you came from a loving home where no one has touched you in any way. I am so happy for you. Incest is the taking away of faith and belief in anything or anyone. It is one of the most horrible things that could happen to a child. The adults they trust to protect them are the very ones that injure them. I can not see how someone with religion, no religion or half a mind would be able to consider this let alone a Christian. It is something that will mar the child for the rest of its life. That will have an effect on its relationships with others and its future children. If you commit incest please get help and stop now. The child in your care needs you for love and help not that.

I disagree slightly with the previous post, the Bible in fact does say "Eve is the mother of all the living" as one cleaqrly sees if they examine Genesis. But I think we both agree you are not talking about incests if you are distantly related

you are mixing categories. God did not condemn incest until Moses and there is a good reason for that.

First, Adam and Eve had no genetic defect to protect agaisnt and great genetic diversity between them. After the fall and sin entered the world, as generation of generation lived there would be more problems with genetric problems and lack of gentetic diversity requiring marriage on a not so close relative to protect agsint it

So... no. not exactly. The reasons against marrying a close relative would not apply until after Moses and not to the early generations

Second, its not that you cant marry a distant relative, icests says you should not marry a close relative. As relations are farther and farther apart the two individuals would have more genetic variation and you have the DNA of Both.. If the DNA of both had the same problems it would be a concern

First off- the whole incest thing is taboo because of inbreeding- (for starters) have you ever looked up the history of the Russian Czars? Most of their kids had diseases because they were inbred. (Hemophelia etc.) That is a big part of why procreating with someone with similar genes is BAD.
And if you are a religious person...God can do anything! Including letting us all be products of incest.
By the way...not just Christians condemn incest- it's a big taboo pretty much everywhere.

what you have to look at is two trains of thought.

1) the old testament is about the life and descendants of one man, Adam. nowhere in the bible does it say that Adam is the "first" man on earth, just that God created him and placed him in the Garden of Eden.

2) What we call incest is the same act that was committed in the bible, BUT, the idea behind the action is different. for instance, since there were no other women at the time (that we know of) then the procreation between brother and sister was without the sin of forcing oneself on another, against that person's will.

that said:

i cannot say that incest between willing partners is a sin, i can only quote the civil law, that has been adopted as a defacto standard in most nations.

if one truly loves another, i imagine that God would accept that union, but i cannot say so for certain.

i do know that incest forced upon someone is nothing but another name for rape, which is without a doubt in my teachings a sin against God and most societies.

a) according to bible we are not from the same couple,
adam and eve had two sons
but they have married some other females, which we do not know where comes from,

Bible is not a simple thing so please read it carefully, especially first 3 books or just all TORA (old testament)

and incest is rather condemned from biological point of view than Christian, as if too close related people would have child , the kid could be retarded. so it is rather scentific than religious. for sake of good of kids.

Christians do not condemn incest, Society, in general condemns it ... incest greatly multiplies the chances for recessive bad genes to be realized...retarded children, birth defects, etc. that normally would not surface.
Only the Hawaiians kept the royal line pure with Brother / Sister breeding for offspring for the royal line...and even then, after the heir was born, they went to marry others. Here, the Hawaiian lines were so good that only the best of genes were passed along..that is why they "kept it in the family..pure race of very good values. " Good luck

where do you get your information. nothing in the Bible that says we all come from the same descendants that i found can you send a link to this information. incest where do you find this also could use a link. God created man and woman he also created Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were the base of the story. Not every detail was placed in the Bible it isn't a history book.

The answer is that the Bible doesn't actually say (contrary to popular belief) that all of us are descendants of the same couple. Adam and Eve had Cain and Abel (and later Seth). Abel got killed, and Cain left to wander the earth. Specifically, he went to the land of Nod. There he 'had relations with his wife.' Doesn't mention who she is or where she came from. Moreover, you find that Eve is still with Adam. Also, when Cain left, he was worried that people would kill him on sight. People who? Obviously there's something missing. I think the answer isn't incest, but rather that Adam and Eve weren't the only ones around.

Why only focus on Christians ? Every religion condemns incest.. But the Bible is just a book of parables and you are an idiot if you take this Judaic litterature too seriously.

Because the Bible just tells you the story of Adam & Eve. It never claims that these were the only humans on Earth. After Cain murdered Abel, he left the family, married a woman, and built a city. If there were only 3 people on Earth, who did he marry and why would he build a city? Educate yourself about what you want to argue against before you condemn someone for their ideals.
