First off, the term "occult" is very broad. If you were to look it up in a dictionary you would find terms such as "hidden", or " Beyond the realm of human comprehension; inscrutable". Any phenomena that cant be "explained" by science could be termed "occult"
The "occult" behaves in someways like science. Is science Evil? Can you give me a yes or no answer to that question? I dont think so.
Science can kill, and science can cure. The Occult can be thought of much the same way.
Secondly, what is evil? What is good? If one were to travel the World, and speak with various people, from various cultures, and of varying faiths, one would find that "good" and "evil" are very subjective.

Being an occultist for the majority of my life let me tell you what the occult is. The occult is not good or evil. In fact it has nothing to do with good or evil. It is in fact an idea. Just a simple one with many complex and complicated information attached to it. What an Occultist knows about the Occult determines how they intend to use it. That use is what is capable of being good or evil.
the definition of occult is "to shut off from view or exposure". It simply means to hide. The occult is a hidden art, much about it will always remain a secret. Like any other force or knowledge, it is entirely up to the caster as to the intent, be it good or evil.

Occult simply means hidden. The only evil about occult is that the information had to be hidden in the first place.

There were wicked spirit persons in heaven who were according to revelation caste down to the earth.
They show up in many forms and try to communicate with humans. Using the occult and witches and demons which these are you are actually communicating with people god comdemed and threw out of heaven.

Whatever teaches love and non-separation and humility before the universe and is used that way will lead to happiness. If the occult is used to bolster your ego, your specialness, your desire for power then it's like all things that do that: not going to lead to happines..
