I don't believe in sin, but sometimes we get attracted to people only because of their physical appearances rather than them as a being. I am not one to comdemn or force my beliefs down on others and i definitely have feeded my lust with indulgence of physical pleaure, but i find that it weakens me as a person so i try and look for something deeper in people than my lust after their flesh. Sex is not always lustful, it can be really spiritual too.

I don't think that lust is always a sin. Lust between two people that absolutely love one another can be beautiful. However, lust to fulfill a temptation at the expense of another should be a sin. We have been blessed with the ability to make choices, good or bad. Good choices can help ourselves or, even better, others. Bad choices can have the opposite effect. We experience many things that can lead to bad choices - lust, greed, jealousy, etc. How we wish to deal with those things makes us the person we are, good or bad.

God bless and good luck with your choices!
Doug

Our free will should deal with it. The free will recognizes things as sinful and it should be capable of resisting sins in what ever form.

We seem to experience it because the mind is telling us lust is a sin. It's like a reminder, a conscience guide. Remember submitting oneself to temptation is a sin but it's up to you to resist it. Much like the resistance Jesus Christ made when he was tempted by the devil.

The same reason we experience a ton of other emotions that are sinful. We are human and we are born into a sinful nature, we have the free will to either go with the sinful nature or to go against the grain and strive for something better.

Lust isn't a sin. It is something natural. Handling lust in a wrong way is when it becomes a sin.

lust is not a sin, whoever says it is a sin than he means that being human is a sin, than it means that having emotions is a sin, and it means that everybody is the sinner,

and even God has lust
and what God has, has to be good as God is Good, isnt he?

how do we know that God has lust

6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

if there was no lust why there was sexula act, so this means that sons of God have lust, so does their father.

It is said to be part of the 7 deadly sins.

1. Pride- is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

2. Envy- is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation

3. Gluttony- is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.

4. Lust- is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.

5. Anger- is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.

6. Greed- is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.

7. Sloth- is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

Lust isn't a sin. It is a natural response to "usually" the opposite sex. It is the reason that all animals procreate. If it wasn't for lust, there would be no sex and therefore the whole animal kingdom would die out.

Lust is not the sin, lust is the temptation. It becomes sin only when you act on it. Everyone experiences temptation.

Aren't there many 'sins'? Anger, sloth, jealousy...take your pick- we experience them all, acording to most religions (or at least, in my opinion) ACTING on your tempations is the sin- not experiencing the drive. But experincing beauty (and feeling lust because of it) is part of being human- if just experiencing the desire is a sin- we're all screwed!
