My father is 57 years old. He recently got surgery in his foot and he cant walk no more. which means he cant work either. he started to get disability from the government, but he only gets $800. Its not enought for him while he is taking care of my mother. My mother is sick as wel. the doctors approved her disability but the Governemt brings up the point that If she had worked and paid taxes, she would be eligible for disability money. so please tell me If there is anything we could do? I mean can My father take retirement money and disability money at the same time? cause that is what i heard. and how can my mother be eligible for her disiability money?

I am sorry to hear of your family's problems. I have gone through similar things lately. I became disabled last Dec, and just last month got Social Security worked out. I am very fortunate because I have a private long term disability insurance policy I paid for, so money is not so much an issue.
The problem with Social Security is that it pays based on your income over the past 30 years. The lower the income, the less in SS tax was paid and the less you get. If your mother never worked, than at best she would be able to get some money on her husbands account, but it won't be much if she can get anything.
If the family assets are very low, they may be able to get SSI as well. It isn't much, and you have to be dirt poor, but you might ask the SS office about it. Other things of course are food stamps from the state, check with all of your local churches, etc.

Your Goverment is corrupt so you should rally up your friends and go on strike to make your points be known because your parents are very poor and sick. this is just like the time that Hoover was the president. It was when the bonus army was called a mob. if you don't know they were American soldiers in World War 1. So go to your govener and complain because your poor and innocent family deserves that money!

Do you have a job?? cus if you don't you could get a nice payin job and give them the money. Or you could go to your bank account(if you have 1) and take money out of there!!
