It is possible that growth hormones could make a difference, but they have pretty dangerous side effects. You being 17, you're probably not done growing anyway. And you're not that short. If you are healthy and well-proportioned, chances are a relatively petite girl will find you hot as a firecracker.

Please be aware that smaller bodies are a good thing as we start to take space travel seriously. (I know, we're way behind schedule, but you're young enough for that not to matter.) If I were choosing the astronauts for a long-term project in space, I would certainly choose slighter people over bigger ones, just for practical reasons.

If you need to get over the idea that short men are somehow less masculine, take up boxing. Some of those bantam and light weight guys are dynamite. You're probably too big to be a jockey. Lots of incredibly fine men have been relatively short; My Steve, the light of my life for over 20 years, was about your height and never weighed more than 120 lbs. of pure gold!

You may still grow another inch or two before you stop. Just relax, and remember, there are lots of sexy not so tall guys. Unless you are planning to be a top basketball player, then I think your height is perfect.

Uh...yeah...I don't know about the doctor stuff but as far as you being short...you had a combination of two genes that happened to be short. There's not much you can do about it but accept it and be happy with yourself just the way you are. God made you that way for a reason.

You are young and may still grow taller (I think my brother was still growing until he was like 22)

Plus if you are working out you will look good regardless of your height.

so don't worry so much about how tall you are.
