Yes it is better to have loved than to never have loved at all because even though it brings pain once you lose them, it also brings lifetime of memories you can never experience any other way. You also finally find out what they world is talking about for yourself.

this common phrase is it better to love and lose the one you love than never have loved at all? From some recent exp. It truthfully sucks to Lose but i'd rather lose than never love again at all. You have to be realistic and disect was it truthfully Love deep inside was there any underlying cause for thoughts to feel this way what brought the relationship to this point. Why did you lose this special person. It does suck but we can find love again and in it all. Pain is part of loving understanding each other handling the loss, escape, breakage where does it all go. Just do not let it take you down!

Because at least then you've experienced love, to love and lose that love is better for the soul, its a really old saying but it still rings true. To go through life never having felt love would be a tradgedy! So love and don't be afraid of loss. We learn from it, that which does not kill us makes us stronger! Remember that.

The idea is that the love you experienced will outweigh the pain. This phrase is what is helping me get through the loss of my little dog, Sophie. I lost her after only five years, but had I never had the chance to love her, my life would have been so much less fulfilled.

I think it is better to have loved but lost. It means you take a chance you don't live in a cave. I was married for 22 years to a women I loved dut she wanted a div. It almost broke me...........and took along time to get over but I have the good times to remember and a great son to love. The memories are sometime sad, but if your gonna live life that means having to take chances. There are no guarantees in life love or anything else WORTH having.

It depends on what's more valuable to you.

I personally would rather have loved and lost (and have) because to never have loved at all carries with it a huge hole that you always lament and try to fill.

In all actuality, that's an impossible question to give a standard answer to, because it's impossible to judge between one state and the other, not to mention the vast difference in people.

Yeah but that way you wouldn't know what love is.There would be no chance to learn.Even if one is burned by it he will atleast know what love really is.So I'd say it is true.
Good luck.
