Hi Gravefinder - in Ireland, there's special meaning to a double yolked egg; In Ireland a laying hen was tied to the bed on the first honeymoon night in the hope that some of its fertility would be passed on to the couple. Eating a double yoked egg was also thought to bring fertility. In modern day, it supposed to mean you're coming into money. (This because you asked about any superstitious beliefs about 2 in one shell.) *_*
According to www.ancestryaid.co.uk, in Somerset, England, a double-yolked egg was viewed with concern as it foretold of a hurried wedding due to a pregnancy.
Apparently only young chickens can lay double yolked eggs.
Google references a Stephen King novel, The Dark Tower VII, that has a passage about a double yoked egg...and the main character being superstitious.

Twins can be created two different ways. One way is for a single fertilized egg to split into two. The resulting children are called identical twins, because they will have the same DNA, and look alike. Another way is for two eggs to be produced by the mother, instead of the one egg per cycle that is normally released. This is called fraternal twins, the children will have different DNA, and will look no more alike than any normal brother or sister. Inside a human mother is a lining that encases the baby. Inside a chicken this lining is the egg shell. In a chicken, fraternal twins are known to us as two complete eggs with seperate shells. Identical twins, on the other hand, come out as one egg shell with two yolks inside. Both of these yolks are eggs as I explained above. Eggs as you buy them in a store are screened and all imperfect eggs are removed. This is why you rarely find any double eggs.

I used to think it was a sign of good luck but then I moved to the South where most of the farm raised chickens lay eggs with double yolks. Now it just means that there's twice as much fat in the eggs as before.

If you ever grew chickens or any other egg laying birds , from time to time there will be 2 yokes in one shell . these never hatch out , but look great in a skillet with bacon, and go well with a side of toast , Cheers breakfast is up.

Actually double yokes are not very rare. If the egg had hatched it would have been twin chicks. I worked on an egg farm for a year and have cracked many a double yoke. I once found a triple yoke.
When I fried it, it resembled a smiley face!
