Try to drink 100% pure blackcherry juice concentrate that you would find in a nutrition center or health food store, it has helped alot of people who suffer from gout. Dink it every day for awhile. Just watch your over all diet, lean cuts of red meat in moderation.....

I had a friend who was a vegetarian for years. It was because of the way animals are slaughtered. Then she made the jump to vegan. It was expensive and extremely difficult because she kept feeling guilty about having a leather couch..... Anyway, being completely "vegetarian" is more difficult than people think. You really should not have ANYTHING with any kind of animal by product in it. For instance, those noodles you ordered were cooked in chicken broth. I will not eat pork or beef. Simply because I cannot tolerate the smell, texture or taste. I am complete skinless chicken and turkey. I do indulge in veggie burgers, which I love. If your vegetarianism is based on a 'animal welfare' issue then even though you have the desire you may also reap the guilt. If it is solely based on a healthier diet that is debatable. I do believe we need that extra bit of chicken or turkey, for some even the pork and beef. I would start back slowly. Add a small skinless chicken breast to a salad. Go from there. Absolutely do not go full head on into red meat. Your body will make you very sorry. I do have to admit I have, once a year, indulged in a buffalo burger. Absolutely incredible.

Gout is a condition where uric acid crystals build up in the body.
This can happen in the area of the big toe and cause a lot of pain.
Our foods contain purines; some foods are higher in this than others.
The doctor may place you on a lower purine diet (of which they will usually provide you a list of foods to avoid. There is also medications that can lower the uric acid in the blood
Here an alternative way to cure gout?

My husband had "galloping" gout. Started in the foot, cleared up and jumped to an elbow, then the hand. Pain was excruciating. He has been on allopurinol for years. We watch his diet. "All things in moderation." Just take it easy on red meats, gravies, soups, pies, alcohol. My husband is a big guy and lives to eat, but with care, he has been gout-free for some time. About the colchicine - he took this also but only for 3 days at the onset when the gout was at its worst. Should you be taking this ongoing?

It would be better to avoid the red meat - once you go back you may try to push the limit and end up in trouble again. Did you know that Ben Franklin had gout?

Make a special occasion of it. No, I don't mean celebrate days ending in Y. Talk to your Physician, Take his advice. I've had gout, it ain't fun. I think you probably know how much discomfort you're willing to deal with. Luck to ya.

If you have gout, you should be careful. I don't know how important red meat is to you, though.
