You don't always. Some are very clever and good at what they do and you will believe in them till the curtain falls on you and by then it is too late and you PAY dearly. If there is any doubt, I would move on immediately without question.

idk you some people just have this feeling. Some of us have to catch the person in the act. You never really know for sure though.

watch for the signs... secretiveness, lies, etc.
If you 'think' you are well guess what, you probably are.
