The answers to this question vary from strange to insane.

Yes witchcraft is real. It is nothing like movies and television portray it. The closest I have ever seen in film is the movie "The Mists of Avalon." The book the movie was based on went into more detail than the movie. The book was written by Marion Zimmer Bradley.

Witchcraft is a real religion that has absolutely nothing to do with satan or devils. Witches don't believe in satan or devils.

I don't understand why so many "christians" think that if it isn't about christianity, it's about devils. What a nutty idea.

Yes, I am one myself. The stereotypical witchcraft isn't real though, anything that makes us look scary, devil worshippers, freaks, that sort of thing is all made up and was done so by the early christians in an attempt to turn people from the old religion. It's not about powers and magic tricks, it is in it's truest form a religion like all others, there are Gods and The one true Goddess and we draw on thier powers in our work. The basis of paganism is respecting mother nature and all that she provides for us to live and to enjoy and to celebrate that in life and to use nature and it's magical force to help us live a happy life.

Yes, witches and witchcraft are real, but not in the Harry Potter sense. Most witchcraft is also very positive, very good magic.
Few use their abilities for evil.

Yes, witches are real. Witches are simply folks (male and female) who practice magic.

Yes, witchcraft is real. If it wasn't, we wouldn't waste our time.

Yes.

The next question is what do you mean by "witchcraft"?

Are you referring to the folk religion of Africa?
Or the pre Christian folk religions of Europe?
Or the folk religion of East Asia?
Or the folk religion of Central America?
Or the folk religion of South America?
Or contemporary American Witchcraft?

The practices and theology of these groups are radically different.

How real the effects of practicing the specific religion is, depends upon how is doing it, and how serious they are, in doing it.

Yes, and for what it is worth they don't even believe in the devil let alone worship him. After all, he's part of the Christian religion.

People are people, some good, some bad. To hide behind a religion and say it makes you good/bad is wrong.

Witches mostly, their are many different paths, follow the Earths seasons It is a nature based religion. Life is to celebrate, not desecrate.

There are indeed witches... real witches... but not that many... most who think they are, are not. But the real witches can and do have contact with the forces of evil and can do some harm through this contact. wicca and all the variations of the theam are just deceptions of the forces of evil to keep as many from God as they can. The forces of evil led by satan do not need folowers... they already know their fate. But they provide stimulations to lure away as many as they can who seek God and are not quite on the right path.

Absolutely. This religion is far older than Christianity. All the Old Ones ways were destroyed by Christians except in a few isolated places in the Northern European countries.

Just part of the myriads and myriads of people who choose hell over heaven. The power of evil is much more limited than before as Jesus Christ has made great gains since obtaining a visible body in the world.

If you asked a "witch" or "warlock" to show you their craft they would have some useless sayings and potions to try to manipulate nature and people around them. Kind of like lying, cheating, spreading lies, using the power of suggestion, etc.
