Alaskan Malamutes
They are at the top with the most intelligent of dogs, Pack oriented so they act just like they are part of the family, very strong, extremely playful, very friendly, big in size and can be graceful inside the house not knocking things over.
Downsides are because of their size, power and playfulness you have to be careful with small children because they can unintenionally hurt them. Not on purpose. They make bad watch dogs because they are so friendly. They get bored easily if you don't play with them or they don't have something to keep their minds busy. They shed alot in the summer months.
Its the only type of dog I will own.

Pugs, they are so mellow and happy. The clowns of the dog world. If you mix them with beagles, the result is called a puggle. Cutest cross mix going by far.

I will always opt for the Standard Poodle...extremely smart, very loving, very well mannered, and easy to train. They do not shed as most dogs do, but do need to be combed regularly...best dogs of dogs.

A person's favorite breed is usually the one they own or used to own. Mine has to be a blue-eyed, sable & white rough collie.
