I have decided I want to break up with a woman I have been dating. There is no clear reason, just that the chemistry is not right for me. She seems very hung up on me. I know I should do this in person but we do not see each other unless we make an effort.

Do you ask her out for coffee after work and do it? Do you stop by her house and do it? I would love to do this over the phone but that is pretty cheap. How would you handle this?

First of you must tell her sooner rather than later, no reason to let her get anymore attached to you than she already is. You should probably go to her house so that you don't embrass her out in public. Before you go to her house tell her your coming because you all really need to talk, to kind of prepare her for the news. And then just be honest tell her that rather than letting it go any further you could already tell it wasn't going to work.

a breakup is important enought to meet up with her, not over the phone. the reason it's not working is probably because you have to make an effort to see her anyways, but that's not the point.

meet up with her somewhere not public, that's all i can say.

Definately do coffee, and go from there, the chemistry word is a good thing......be sure to use it!
