I got a freshly rebuilt '94 saturn sl series in very good shape for sale.... $900.00. I just replaced the original engine with one I rebuilt, also has new starter, clutch, pressure plate.... If you want it or want to see pics, look me up online. I know the car is reliable because I am a former race team crew chief. I know my job quite well. Should last a good 200,000 miles before it is ready for a new engine if you take care of what's in it now.

The only way to get a cheap car that works would be to go to auctions, or if you know a mechanic friend, he might be able to get a good reliable car for under $1000. Stay away from tote-the-note dealerships. They'll sell anything, and most of their cars fall apart from the minute that they leave the parking lot.

If you are going to buy from an individual, make sure that you hire a mechanic to go with you to make sure that the car is in good condition, also.
