Jesus asked the religious leaders of His day, "How can you believe when you accept each other's praise and do not look for the praise that comes from the only God?" (John 5:44)

And, "Yet many people, even some of the authorities, believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they did not admit it for fear that they would be thrown out of the synagogue. For they loved the praise of people more than the praise of God." (John 12:42-43)

Paul says, " Am I now trying to win the approval of people or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ's servant." (Galatians 1:10)

There are others, but these seem to be the most pertinent. Hope they help!

Mr 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Mr 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Mr 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
