I have the same problem and I figured out if I leave the shampoo in my hair for about 5 minutes instead of washing it right out it stays oil free longer! Good Luck!

Try using a stronger setting lotion also, but summers are the most difficult season for hair. You can also where hats on the days that are extremely difficult. Wash hair in the morning using a good shampoo. Don't use dandruff shampoo unless you actually have dandruff. You can buy good shampoos that are inexpensive. Shampoo's that you can see through like John Frieda, not Pert Plus are better at oil prevention. Still if this doesn't work boil lavendar and hot water together, let stand overnight and after washing hair rinse with the lavendar water. Lavendar is good for getting rid of oil.

You could try using a vinegar and water hair rinse, after shampooing:
One teaspoon of apple cider kitchen vinegar added to a pint of water makes an excellent finishing rinse that adds shine and luster to your hair while removing soap residue that can weigh down oily hair. A thorough rinsing with plain water will remove the smell.
A lemon juice rinse will also do, if you don't have vinegar:
Squeezing the juice of two lemons into a pint of distilled water makes another excellent rinse that helps cut oiliness
Although it is difficult in a busy schedule to eat right, try to eat as little as you can of processed and fast food. Aim for fruits and veggies as often as possible, and of course drink water whenever you can (in place of anything such as soda, etc.)
I hope you found the above helpful, and best wishes.

I had the same problem except when I washed it in the morning by night it looked as if I hadn't washed it in a few days. The lady who cut my hair told me to use a salon brand detoxifier once a week for a while and it sould be good. I haven't had to use it in a good 6 years or so and I can now go a day without washing it if I have to. I used Aveda.

use a daily shampoo and conditioner. try paul mitchell awapuhi shampoo with daily control conditioner. make sure you take your shower in the morning instead of at night. and when you condition your hair, use the size of a dime and only put in on the ends. you don't need to put it all the way to your roots because your hair has natural oils that will take care of that.
