Yes. Thought my family and I are devote Christians we lived in a Muslim area of the world for a couple of years. We had many conversations with Muslims. While our perspectives on life and God are different, the Muslims I knew and became friends with were the most hospitable people in the world. Just like us they had concerns about war and peace, they loved their families, and valued relationships. You can't judge an entire group of people based on what radicals in that group do. I wish I could go back to that place now and have coffee with some of our Muslim friends.

Most definately!!

I have studied the Muslim/Islam faiths and its segments and would love the opportunity to have free discussion.

I guess I should state that I do not wish to 'sit and talk" via the internet, but would love to sit and talk face to face. To much gets left out with just typing. A word typed can be taken as rude, when it was said in such a way.

I have nothing against them as people or their religion!!! what i do object to is the radical behaviour or a minority of their members, that like with every other culture/group/religion/society, is making the whole look bad... I dont judge a book by its cover, and im not going to snub someone purely because they are muslim, or any other culture/group/religion/society... I will at them end of the day give the person the benefit of the doubt, and accept that they may not be a radical, bt should they prove to be one, or that they support acts of violence such as the bali bombings that killed my friends i will happily give them a knuckle sandwich!!! that also goes for bigots, racists, rapists murderers, paedophiles, people who are cruel to animals etc etc... any any other form of nasty scummy lowlife behaviour!!! because until we all accept that we bleed the same colour and we cherish the same planet and life, we will never ever be at peace

I will speak with anyone. As long as the person I am speaking with respects me as both a woman and an individual, and even if the person does not share my points of view, at least the other person would allow me the opportunity to explain why I have the opinions that I do.

I'm a very well educated woman and feel that I have alot to contribute.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

Certainly, I do so with some frequency. Muslims are no different than anyone else. The majority are decent caring human beings. It is unfortunate that a relatively small number of extremists have so tarnished the western world view of these people.

I've done it many times, both online and in person. I have Muslim friends, have dated Muslim men, and my fiance is Muslim. I've even gone to a mosque for a Qur'anic study that was open to all. It was lovely, I enjoyed myself very much. Muslims are some of the kindest, gentlest people I've known.

For anyone who says they wouldn't, or that they'd be violent toward them, that is because they fear Muslims. Yes, fear. Fear of brainwashing, fear of being killed, fear of whatever they may imagine because they allow the media to form their views instead of cultivating their own. How would one cultivate their own views of Muslims? It's simple, get to know some and hang with them and talk to them, and know that God created them in His image and He loves them. It's as simple as that.

Haroon why you keep promoting your forum with your questions?

Can you answer the following questions:

What is the punishment of aldertary according to Qur'an?

Is hijab mandatory?

You don't have your contact link with your profile so there is no way I can reach you.

I would sit and talk with anyone, would my beliefs bend on the premises introduced by a book that required blind adherence to a code that I didn't agree with based on principles of faith, definitely not.
