i am clinicly under weight and want to join the armed forces and need to put on at least 1 stone to gain entry this is however very hard as my metabolic rate is extremely high

eat complex carbs eat lots of pasta, eggs, tuna, bread, proteins and do weights 2-3 times a week,
here is a workout -
incline bench press, 10 reps, 2/3 sets
flat bench press, 10 reps, 2/3 sets
decline bench press 10 reps, 2/3 sets
barbell curls/dumbbell curls/ both, 10 reps, 3 sets
overhead press, 10 reps, 3 sets,
lateral raises, 10 reps 3 sets,
tricep pressdown, 10 reps, 3 sets
skullcrushers, 10 sets, 3 reps,

split this up in to two days or just do it in one day, depends how much you can do, me and my brother do, this and are very pleased, my brother - jamie - jame_football created this,

ps. for extra results take supplements like progain and also have amino acids, good luck, hope this helps!!!
bent over rows, 10 reps, 3 sets,
deadlifts, 10 reps, 3 sets

Force yourself to eat more than you normally do, even if that's a lot. Double your portions. Also, try to consciously slow down a little. Walk slower, don't run. Sleep an extra hour. Muscle weighs more than fat, so try to build up muscle by weight training, not jogging or aerobic exercise.

lol I don't think your first answerer gets it. :D

Why not try going to a dietician, since you are serious about gaining for career reasons.
She'll probably suggest something like protein drinks, or a different diet, and maybe exercise to build your muscles.

You cannot change your metabolic rate.

AGAIN.

YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR METABOLIC RATE.

This is locked in my genetics. Try doing more weight training to build muscle. If you can't buil enough to get int he army, live with it, you got what you're born with.

eat everything .and sit on your backside itll sharp come on,My wife thinks i spend more time with the sofa.

well eat as much as you can at each 2hrs but not junk food as it makes you less fitter
