does there dog eat food funny?

Question

my dog takes one piece of his food and drops in the other room and goes back and eats the rest of his food then when he is done he goes back in the room where the that piece of food is then he eats.

My dog does the excact same thing she will take one piece drop it on the living room floor than eats it! than goes back and does the same thing! That is soooooooooo weird!

My sister's dog would take food and hide it all over the living room... Under the furniture, *in* the furniture, under the rug, wherever she could manage. Then, she'd nibble on it all day long... I guess it was her way of avoiding having to eat it all at once. *heh*

I knew another dog, a chihuahua, that would take one piece at a time and run far away with it, eat it, then go back for another.

These were both in multiple-dog homes, and I theorize that it must be something to do with the pecking order... The dogs that did the hiding were the lowest dogs on the totem pole. It may have been their way of ensuring that they got food, without having to fear harsh reprimands from the top dogs.

But, then again, some dogs just have it in their heads that they like to eat one piece at a time... :)

i have a boxer that will eat any human food other than tomatoes and just loves bananas.she will steal them from you if she can.she always put the food on the floor,smells it then eats it,not matter what it is.even with her regular dog food and treats.

He is use to the pound training. Just make him feel at home. Maybe make him eat food out of your hand and pet his head.

That is so sweet.. they have different ways of eating and it is humorous to watch them eat
