And why is it that when an anti semite criticises Israel or Jews with clear anti semetic statements they shield themselves by saying "oh, I'm only being anti Zionist"?
In other words, as someone else said "if the shoe fits, wear it". If the critisism is clearly anti semetic, then why not call it as such?
As is the case, even I'm critical of Israel sometimes.
For example, I was critical of their disengagement from Gaza.
I was critical of the peace process which required the treatment of terrorists and terror organizations as "peace partners".
And yet, for these critisms, I have yet to be called an anti semite or self hating Jew. Gee, I wonder why?

it depends on if it is a reasoned criticism. So many people hate Jews for some unknown reason to me..guess it is because they dont believe in the right religion? Alot of people throw hard words around without knowing any of the history of the country.

I hate to say it, but the Jews are prejudice. They really are! They spend their money in such a way, that their dollar bounces around in their communities several times before it exists. Study them and you'll quickly learn that they favor one another too much: which means they are prejudice in favor of one another. Great for them...but what's that make the rest of the people?
They think they are the chosen people. They were, but lost that at the Cross. But they really do think they are the cat's meow.
Say boo, and they'll label you the evil doer.

First, it is a way to deflect genuine criticism by hiding behind their ethnicity.
Some of the criticisms are honestly insulting and reveal a bias and the comments are truly anti-Semitic

You can't criticise anyone today.
Blacks, women, gays, jews...
The only evil in todays world is to tell someone that what they are doing is wrong.
I can't tell blacks to quit committing crimes and start going to college.
I can't tell Jews to quit responding to violence with violence.
I can't tell gays to stop committing sodomy.
I can't tell tell women groups to quit supporting abortion
If I did I would be a judgmental racist sexist antisemite.
I just sit around and smile and enjoy being a christian heterosexual white male. I guess I caused all of the world's problems but at least my life is good.

I don't think that those who criticize Israel are anti-semitic.
I will tell you who is: Those who think that the Jewish people have an evil plan to control the world. Those who think that the Jewish people control the media in the U.S. and are brainwashing everybody else. Those who deny the holocaust, or feel sorry that Hitler didn't finish his job.

Hey, if the shoe fits...
I criticize Israels policies with the Palestinians, but I do NOT criticize their religoin. So yes, if one criticizes Jews for being Jewish or doing Jewish things, that makes them anti-semetic.

The term "anti-semetism" is a misnomer, because the Jews are only one of several semetic peoples, including the Arabs.
