This really depends on how much your beagle eats. Remember, what comes in, must come out. Dogs naturally have weak stomachs, so if they eat something that doesn't agree with them, then nausea, vomiting and diarrhea is common. That can be fixed with pepto bismol, or the generic equivalent to it. Give him the child's dose. Now dogs are just like humans.....everyone is different. Maybe you have a bowel movement once or twice a day, or maybe every couple of days. Dogs can do this also. My dogs want to have a bowel movement not long after they eat. Usually they have 2 or 3 BMs a day. But this depends on how much they eat and what they eat. Sorry for being so general and not specific, but every dog is just a little different. Some dogs when going on a walk, will deficate about three times. Because their bodily functions are stimulated by excercise. Others may go once. Typically, a dog will go, once after each meal. If you feed once they will go once, twice they go twice. But exercise gets it going. Feeding junk food, food from grocery stores, will produce more poop. Buy higher quaility food from small personal pet supply stores, and they produce less poo. Because its quality food. I'm not talking about petsmart or petco either.

it depends on their food intake and how many times they're fed daily....my beagles are hog dogs and garbage guts, i feed them only once a day and they usually poop once a day. they are overweight, so their diet is restricted. most dogs get to eat twice a day, they probably poop twice daily as well.
