u can use Microsoft Front page
it's user friendly and easy to use
u can search on www.download.com to find any other programs for html editting

I think you can use Microsoft Frontpage for a start. The wizard will help you generate the html pages quickly. Once you are more familiar to the GUI and codes, you can switch to Macromedia Dreamweaver. This software is of the industry standard for webpage authoring. I highly recommend you check out google.com for websites introducing html. Plenty!

Adobe/Macromedia have already done that! The program is called Dreamweaver! Regardless a superb webpage requires superb content which no program will do for you.

you will need frontpage 2003 to create stunning pages, also there may be some free ones on the net. Dreamweaver is an excellent choice as well

I was once in the same pickle as you, and i found the best HTML writer ever: Macromedia Dreamweaver. You can get it at http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/
or in Macromedia Studio.
