Christianity is not a religion, per se. It's a way of life. What's been done over past centuries is to employ biblical context into Christianity. To be a Christian, one must live Christ-like; if we're to believe the Bible (in it's incomplete fullness) no known human can live this way.
For example, Lonnie P (who claims to be a Christian) made a response to this question that is somewhat contradictory to the principalities of being a Christian. How can a way of life that's centered on love, peace, unity (in the eyes of whatever Higher Power suits them) in the same breath be judgmental? I do recall a quote, "Judge ye not lest ye be judge..." Hey, I could be wearing that same shoe by making that statement, but I don't claim nor proclaim to be a Christian so...
We all know the 10 Commandments, or at least have heard of them. Atheists kill just like Baptists, Atheists steal just like Protestants, and Atheists do not honor their mothers & fathers just like Lutherans. All of these religious sects, groups have their own beliefs but we as humans all do the same things. One is not any better off than the other in this respect.
I am sure you are not the only Atheist who is tired of this conversion determination of others. I was baptized at an early age (John baptized Jesus, not christened, not anointed, BAPTIZED) and I get sick of Christians claiming that my way of belief is blasphemous...here we go again with the "Judge ye not..."

Am I the last Christian that is tired of Atheist complaining about Christians?????
I can hoenstly say I have never complained about Atheist before but there are too many of these compliants online and I have yet to try to convert anyone. I wouldn't want to recruit anyone so narrow minded. I have studied all releigions when I was in school and still believe in what you want that is what it is all about.
You must travel in a strange crowd if you have Christians trying to convert you all the time. maybe you are giving the impression that it is what you want but have some fears about it?? Just something to think about....

you comprehend, i will not bear in mind seeing any Christian utilising the words "you're stupid". genuinely I have considered a lot the position they talked about a particular perception as being inane or illogical. besides the undeniable fact that, atheists calling Christians "stupid" for his or her beliefs are a dime a dozen. And once lower back you concentration on evolution vs. introduction even besides the undeniable fact that on the fringe of ninety 4% of all Christians count number on evolution. So why are you able to no longer see that attempting to apply something that almost all of Christians count number on to "placed down" Christianity is a complete lie. You communicate about "reality", yet all you're saying are lies.

I think you try to shove your beliefs on us! 1000 Christians and then 1 atheist says no more crosses here and the atheist gets his way by throwing a 2 year old temper tantrum!!

My husband is an atheist-so of course i try every day to convert him, but every day people that i come across i usually don't unless they show an interest and ask me questions and things like that. If you are a true christian you should have qualitys that other people will want and they will be drawn to you and want to know about your life.

Yes, yes, we're all tired of Christians trying to convert us. But not all Christians are like that! My stepdad is a Jehovah's Witness, and he's never tried to convert me or my mother, who is also an atheist.

I know what you mean. I'm not atheists. I believe that there is some god. But I don't blieve in any sh*t from the bible. Or anything about Jesus. You should hear my family and friends over that one. The crap they come up with. It's like they go to a class for people to join there cult. What they fail to relize is I like believeing how I do. I'm not going to change because they are preaching to me.

Not really.
Not trying to convert you into anything else, and I worry more about myself than you.
Have you ever confronted a Muslim and tell him his faith is wrong? Good luck.
It seems the "other beliefs" tell you if you are not part of their religion then you are not welcome.
On the other hand Christians(most of them) invite you in no matter what you call yourself.

Well certainly you believe that it is overall better to be kind to people rather than be a nasty bad person all the time right?
If so, then sorry buddy.....the Christians got ya.
Jesus and all that other stuff is just propaganda. As long as you are nice to other people, you are a good Christian/Jew/Muslim/etc.

Because Jesus told us in the Bible to go out into the world and make disciples of all the world. We are just obeying His word. You are lumping "all" Christians into a category of being pests. I try to lead by example and not put my finger into someone's face. Have a great weekend.
