Vet gave her shots for worms and a rash but she still feels bad. She is now shaking sometimes like she has a fever and her teeth chatter when she does this. She just is not her frisky self. We live in the country but sh has had all of her shots. What could be wrong? Fever maybe? Maybe bit by something? The vet just gives shots and says he does not know why she had the rash..but the rash is now gone. Could it be that she is just recovering frokm the 4 shots he gave her a week ago?

Well it could be bird flew or its cause of the shots you gave her. I really don't know and my dog did the same thing it went away after a few weeks. But he didn't have both at the same time. All I can tell you is make sure that she isn't burning with a fever and she isn't to cold. It might be something in the shots that the vet gave her. She might a n alergic reaction. Try to keep her warm at night and cool in the day.

THere is a spray you can buy called Bitter Apple that my parents used on our furniture after our cocker spaniel was caught eating the expensive dining room set. What my girlfriend and I have found works even better (my mom said that Mugsy eventually got used to the taste and started chewing anyway) is to make sure he has plenty of things that he can chew around the house so he isn't tempted by other things. If he starts chewing something he's not supposed, we give him a firm No and hand him something he is allowed to chew. And it doesn't even have to be puppy toys. We found out accidentally when I got a package in the mail that he loves chewing on boxes- he'll rip them apart and leave the small pieces on the floor so we're always cleaning but it's better than him eating the couch. He also loves paper towel rolls and and plastic water/juice/soda bottles. We joke that we spent money on toys and all we really needed to do was let him be our reclying bin, lol.

See another vet. If the dog has a fever, there is a problem!!!!

Anyone who thinks the dog got "bird flu" from the shots she was given has no clue!!!!!! And if that person's mom is a vet.....I feel sorry for anyone seeing her!!!!!!

Uh, when my golden retreiver had worms, the Doc. gave her to large pills that made her better in a week; worms gone; dog's great! I'd take your dog to another Vet for a 2nd opinion!

Take her to another vet. She may be having an allergic reaction to the shots.

I hate to state the obvious here but, have you taken the dog's temperature?

Normal is 101-102. Spend a couple of minutes and find out.

And I don't think that we can judge the ability of a doctor by what their kid says.

I would ask for her records to be sent to another vet, and take her for a second opinion.
