I broke up with my boyfriend of 10 years because he was cheating on me, but he blamed me for straying, saying it was because for 10 years he told me I was too fat and he just wasn't attracted to me anymore. Needless to say, I threw him out quickly! Now, I've lost 30 pounds, but would like to lose another 40 more. The problem is, I'm sitting here stewing and fretting about the breakup, and feeling responsible for the breakup because of the weight. I don't feel attractive, and don't feel like I will ever attract another man unless I lose tons of weight. I know he's the jerk, not me, but I still miss him terribly because I thought he would be the only person who would ever love me. By the way, I am 5'8" and weigh 215 right now. I did weigh 242, but have lost a lot of weight through diet and exercise. Just wish I could find a man to talk to and get rid of this lonely feeling, it stinks.

Girl, your weight is not the issue. You let him beat you down mentally and make you feel "not good enough". Pick yourself up and learn to appreciate all the good things that you have to offer a man. Not every man is dependant on visual stimulation alone.

Yes it's great that you lost the 30 pounds, kudos to you because I know how hard it is. But let it be for yourself rather than trying to find a man. Anyone worth getting will not let weight be a deciding factor.

You know there are guys that like large women. It's true. Not matter what you look like, thousands of guys like that look. Sure, millions of guys like skinny, but the point is some guys like big women.

You could always try for a big guy. Plenty of big guys are in the same spot...they are a couple dozen pounds over weight and don't think any women like them.

And if you just want to talk.......welcome to the Internet, you should have little trouble finding someone to talk too..

Obviously the man you were with didn't truly love you, because if your weight was such a big concern he would have tried to help you with it. You need to find someone who loves you for you. Don't lose weight just to find a guy, because you have to be content with yourself before you can love someone else. Good luck and remember a man that love you just for your weight , doesn't really love you.

CONGRADULATIONS ON LOSING WEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he wasn't much of a man then. real men would be with you no matter what you age, weight, etc and you always meet other people, men and women, and being angry about him breaking up with you; it will only put you in further depression because he has moved on with his life and you should do the same and you are only hurting yourself because you are miserable and you should pick up a hobby to get these ideas out of your head.
