I would, because if the two of you are different religions, that means that you have different customs and beliefs. So that would make it difficult to relate to each other at times and sometimes even make it difficult to communicate. So if you get a Christian boyfriend, you don't have to worry about those things.

that's what the Bible instructs
2 Corinthians 6:14 (King James Version)
14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
It also makes it WAY easier if you actually end up getting married and having children. Then you both already agree on what is a fairly major point of potential argument & division.

It just happened to work out that way, but it wasn't on purpose. It's kind of nice when you don't have to worry about how you would raise kids, etc, since you have similar beliefs. I don't think it should be the first thing you look for in a mate, though.

If you're a vegetarian, you can be in a relationship with a carnivorous person.
If you're Southern, you can be in a relationship with a Northern person.
If you're a Mensa member, you can be in a relationship with a moron.
If you're a Christian, you can be in a relationship with a non-Christian person.

Look for the longer term. I feel it takes two Christian parents to raise a child in faith. When dating, it's nice to go to church with your partner.
