a collage degree would make good LEGAL money where street smart gets you to knowing the people better

Definately a degree. You can be mildly stupid and pass university with D's to attain your degree. however, you'll always be more employable than the moron who thinks he's street smart. Far higher wages also. You spend 20 grand on a degree and make it back from a higher sallary in the first year of work. Then you have the rest of your life making a decent living, and being happier than your friend who decided he's too smart to go to college.

Street smarts are good, if you like a certain lifestyle...and I don't.
I have a college degree in drafting, which served me well when I was younger. I am now working on my accounting degree, changing to a career that will last me until retirement, which is in the not too distant future.

I would prefer a college degree, which is why I assist a college prepatory school. I think you have more oppurtunities in the world with a college degree.

street smart. you are wittier. i know 4 college graduates. know what they are doing? two work at Title Max for 8 dollars an hour, one is an assistant manager at a McDonalds and the other is working at a bakery at Krogers. why? cause it doesnt matter anymore if you have a college degree unless you are going in to major one specific area and plan on making that your lifetime career (ex: accountant, criminal justice, ect)

I know many with Masters and PHDs who are simply idiots. If its outside of the subjects that they studied, they have no clue at all.
I'll take street smarts and a dab of education.....
