i'm not buddhist but i think i'll become one. Its promotes inner peace and harmony and doesn't emphasise on these imaginary gods. Without the needs of material possessions, which don't really bring us true happiness, our lives would be so much simpler

Well, first off it denies the existance of God, which I believe in wholeheartedly.
Second, the concept that you are just working so that you can go through all this junk again and hopefully be better makes me tired just thinking of it.

As far as material possessions, as a Christian, I have just realized how stupid it is to try to chase after money. I'm not going to be taking anything to Heaven, so why bother. Talk about a relief.

It's true that without making material gain our chief purpose in life, our lives could be less stressfull.

But why are you so sure that ALL the 'imaginary gods' are imaginary?

And does Buddhist philosophy actually provide peace and harmony in long-term practice?

You seem to think following some sort of religion is normal. Why?. If you don`t need a crutch and have a mind of your own you could achieve all the same things. Let`s not forget Christianity is supposed to be a religion of acceptance, understanding, peace and helping the less fortunate. You could try that but ignore what the Catholic church and American Republicans say. You know, actually follow the words of Christ.

Christianity also promotes inner peace & harmony, & denies the need for material possessions.

Its just that most people professing to be Christian do not live up to the Christian ideal.

I am a person who is fascinated by Buddhism. I promote Buddhism to a person who is really interested in getting spiritual - that is Theravada Buddhism.

But I will never ask anyone why they will not become. It's up to the individual to decide - that is the beauty of Buddhism it self. We can Guide them if they are interested.

Buddism is not a religion, it is a way of life. Being kind to others, helping them, taking care of God's planet

A good Buddist is a good Moslem, is a good Jew, is a good Bahai, is a good Christian.
