I don't know about you, but I think it's pretty insulting that after all Jesus has done for us, we're focusing on his COLOR? I could really care less whether he was white as paste or black as coal.

People care because they seek to relate to Jesus. And people tend to relate better to those that are like themselves. Therefore, a black community might want to say that Jesus was black, because that way they are more like Jesus (which is not a bad thing). The same could be said for any people of a different color.

I would agree with your criticism though. Just because people fight about Jesus' skin color doesn't mean that it is worth fighting about.

exactly. And the evidence shows that Jesus most likely was not white anyway, he was much closer to being black. But, who cares?

Yeah,
If we're going to be technical, he was an arab jew, and would have had a much nicer tan than me.

But you're right, what he's taught transcends all kinds of silly stuff like race and gender.

yes people do care.all those who claim to be christians are shallow minded they do care about petty things like his colour, his beard.was he clean shave etec etc
