why do teens always want to have sex now of days!?

A few people ahead of me answered that teens have been having sex forever, and that 400 years ago 13 year olds where giving birth. Yep, that might be true, but back then, they worked their fingers to the bone, planted and raised their own food, took care of their own children, (momma didn't do it for them), they sewed their own clothes, baked their own bread and hunt and butchered their own meat. They had children early because they needed help in the fields and around the house. They didn't sleep around with every horny pimple faced kid they could. They didn't give BJ's in the school bathroom, they where too busy working like adults. They didn't have computers, TV, ipods, or cell phones. They grew up fast, and took on the responsibility of an adult at a very early age. If teens think it's okay to have sex because their ancestors did, you need to grow up and take care of ALL your responsibilities like they did. Teens don't do sh*t. They are lazy, they have no respect. They don't know how to make a salad, much less grow lettuce. You want to call a spade a Spade? Your perception is WAY OFF.

Are you for real? What on earth makes you think that teenagers only started acting this way recently? The teen birth rate is actually dropping (at least in the US), which means that teens are either engaging in less sexual activity, or they are getting better at using contraception.

If you think it's bad now, you should look back to when most people lived on farms, and when starting your own family was the most common way to get off of your parents' farm. College may not be free, but it is a lot easier to get into than it used to be, so teens are a lot more likely to avoid pregnancy with so many options available to them.

I guess it depends on where you live right now, but at least in the US, these are arguably the good times when it comes to teenage sexual behavior.

many teens just want to fit in and they think thatit will make them popular and that the boys would like them better. to tell u the truth its sad that teens r loosing their virginity at such young ages i think they should be reading books and trying to get out of school and worry about sex when they r married and grown and out of there parents house. But teens want to have sex because they think that they will fit in with the "IN" crowd

Teens are going to be adults sooner than you think. In today society, you are one of them who think that having sex with someone before marriage is a normal thing. Free country, etc etc. So why bother asking?

Good question. I think for alot of them is a way of feeling loved. or maybe feel like they are mature. when really they aren't . I waited til I was 19 almost 20 to have sex and even then it was to my husband. Being a virgin used to be a good thing now they act like its a curse.

Not only teens - the children having sex are getting younger and younger. It is a pity that they don't even know what childhood and youth are anymore.

If you look at history it's amazing that they are waiting as long as they do. 400 years ago, they all would have been pregnant at 13 or 14.

I COMPLETELY agree with Matt. Nice answer dude. It's the media influence. Women feel more liberated too. And men view them as sex objects. I guess.

we teens are maturing faster and our hormones are kicking in earlier because of the steriods in milk lol.
