I think the problem in America will be the same with or without "illegals" Americans have been trashing America for a long time. I'm not saying the "illegals" haven't They are following our example. Why are we not concerned by what we have done? The rape of the nation was started by us,to confuse that because we have somebody else to blame is wrong.

You know just a guy I agree, America needs a tax reform as a matter of taxes were supposed to be temporary but some numscull in office many years ago forgot to change it. Taxes were to tempoarily supplement the Us during the war.

And which time was that? We may have won but each time it cost us much more than leaving well enough alone. And at this time there is no immediate danger to life.

I agree.....

We are so smug and self righteous....Where do we get off? We invade other countries with brute force, no one seems to be bothered by that. Its pure hypocrisy that we invade other countries with the guise we are there to help, give me a break, we are there to help our OWN self interests....

Gidget - its an economic nightmare. It goes beyond who is trashing what. If the folks keep pouring into this country at the pace I see, there is no way on Gods green earth can our taxes keep up with bailing special programs out of serious debt (God knows the taxes I pay a year are insane). I am all for giving people a chance in life....just do it legally......we all have a responsibility to keep America in the black and we have laws to protect our own citizens....it appears though that we take a stance that now there are degrees in which we can break the law and look for other support, knowing it is breaking the law.

Chupa_minor, it's not the 1800s anymore. You CAN'T "just apply to become a US citizen". If it was, I wouldn't have been here for over 5 years paying taxes, behaving, having college degree and still no papers!
Learn your laws, then give advise to the illegals!

Yes, things they are changing already! City by city, state by state. Keep watching the news. Americans are rising up against the disease of illegal immigration and the citizens of the USA WILL prevail! Illegals - start packing your bags because your days here are numbered!

I can only make a single point stand out on this.

When America gets fed up - WE GET FED UP!

No, I didn't forget that - and it's not the first time for that either. America has never been a place to take from - foriegn governments have been lying to their people - it's a place we FIGHT for!

The air's cleaner than it used to be in the 70's and 80's, and we don't make as many toxic waste sites as we used to, so perhaps things are changing already. If you want to see some real pollution, go to Mexico City.
