money from your man to go shopping or something he chose for you. I've never been a fan of just giving a woman money (unless that was to be my wife). But I do think that there's some merit to listening to your woman and anticipating her needs and wants. Like if a woman were to be constantly talking about something she wanted but didn't ask for it outright, why not surprise her and get it for her? And that also brings up a better question, if you weren't getting the gifts you wanted from your man, woud you stay with him? Maybe he can't afford the things you want yet. Would you stay with him and wait until he gets the job that can provide all you want and need? Just wondering about your thoughts.

Great Question!!! Oh my gosh...there is a guy out there who gets it, My hub is clueless. Great guy, but when it comes to gifts he totally doesn't get it. Because he is so lame at gift giving...I'll take the cash. But...if he would just pay attention to the things I talk about he could score major points. Anyway...I am so glad that you get it...just pay a little attention and bingo...you have a happy woman!
About staying with a guy that gives lame gifts...yep! I'm still here and it has been 19 years.

I would prefer something my man picked out for me. It shows that he was thinking of me and wanted to put a smile on my face. It's nice.
At the moment my man is flat broke and so am I. Money is not an issue though. We love each other and give gifts that are far more valuable than money could provide.

I would not care if my man was broke, I still love him. I did not fall in love with his personal things, I fell in love with him. The only thing I want him to give me is his, true love or a gift he picked out. Not money,I have my own. And besides whatever I want, I get. As long as I have him ( which we are married after being together for 13 years, married for 3 years now) Theres nothing more I could ask for.

i would, and have, stayed with men that can't afford something i wanted...gifts are not the only thing in a relationship

i would rather get a gift he picked out for me, but if he chose to give me money i'd want him to come shopping with me so we can pick out something together. i also think it would be sweet to get your partner something you know they want, that shows you were listening which is a really big deal to women. my husband and i married young, and it was 10 years before he could buy me a wedding ring he wanted to get me, so yes i would and did stay with him and it's b/c i love him. i know in my heart if he had the money he'd buy me everything i ever wanted but just b/c he can't doesn't make me love him any less.

dont ever give her money unless like she said she is your wife, gift cards are good if you dont know what to get her, and yes we do really want things that we talk about all the time and love it when you suprise us with it! id never leave a man because of the gifts he did/didnt give

i would want a gift from a guy that he picked out, it is more special that way. even if it wasnt something i asked for. and if he bought me something that was only 10 dollars because he wasn't working i would be just as happy because i would know he was trying and its the thought that counts.

I wouldnt leave a guy over a gift and he doesnt haver to buy me anything as long as he cares and respects me. But you should buy her something from bath and body works in the mall. They have nice body wash and lotions in there.

i think you should go shopping with her to see what she likes or you can always shop for her at Victoria's Secret or Bath and BodyWorks we women love that kind of stuff and it shows that u care without going over the top and she'll definately be happy
